Carol Ann Duffy Visits HGS

On 23rd May, Carol Ann Duffy, the first woman poet Laureate, is coming to Harrogate Grammar School for an evening of poetry. Duffy’s works include ‘Valentine’, and the world famous ‘Words, wide night’.

The poet has been a keen reader since a young age, inspiring many young writers. It is a great privilege that she is visiting our school, and will hopefully be an evening greatly enjoyed by those who attend the event.
